About AnnotateVideo.plus and ComprehensionScorer
By Christof Daetwyler, MD, Drexel University College of Medicine
AnnotateVideo.plus allows to simply add annotations to a video. Such annotations are descriptive texts that are highlighted when the video plays at specified times. In addition to texts, annotations may include links to other web-pages, comment videos (mp4 or youTube), thought provoking questions, and more. The text annotations have two levels, first a topic (strong), then a description (plain), allowing to structure the annotations easily. Here are some examples of videos and their AnnotateVideo.plus counterparts:
ComprehensionScorer is an extension for AnnotateVideo.plus that allows to turn AnnotatedVideos into ComprehensionScorer Video Assignments. Such Assignments measure if a testee is comprehending what's going on in a video, and it produces a numeric score between 0 - 100% that the admin can use to monitor easily the comprehension of a video contant by even large groups of testees.
The creation and editing of AnnotateVideo.plus and ComprehensionScorers are done in the admin system. You may explore it for your own if you sign up for AnnotateVideo.plus at http://videos.webpatientencounter.com by choosing the demo group and entering the group passcode Demo!admin - since this provides you with full admin access to the demo group please respect others' work and do not delete other's work there.
